Anyone know how to keep the MS keyboards while using Ezinput 2.1? I love using EzInput 2.1, but I really like having the transcriber as well. Fingerkeyboard is a good alternative, but I feel that EzInput is much more stable in what it does, and I like it's keypad way better too. Anyone? Please? (I've tried the reg edit, but that doesn't really offer it in the SIP menu, and I'm looking for a way to do this without installing other applications).

Take a look for the directory "ROM\Raphael\21056\OEMXipKernel\nk.exe\" - I think you have a missing "S001" file there.

I had the same error and only received 9 or 10 MB ROMs.

I use the "release_diamond" and the 6.5 addon. In the directory ROM\Diamond\21884\OEMXipKernel\nk.exe, there are 5 files :
imageinfo.bin (1Ko)
S000 (496Ko)
S002 (3Ko)
S003 (13Ko)
S004 (5Ko)

I don't have a file S001 (it's the same in the "Raphael" directory).

Do you know an issue?

yozgatg i love your roms but since a few weeks my touchscreen is a bit fuxxed, and now i can't do the screen alignment, it just starts it up again because it fails and loops. so with your kitchen i tried to make a rom where it's disabled using some reg keys.
but it didn't work
any ideas how i could do this?
i tried putting a file welcome.not on my internal storage and main mem, and also tried to put some reg keys, but nothing worked...

Just download the complete R5.3 Kitchen again and extract it using 7-Zip (http://www.7-zip.org/).
IZArc doesn't extract .7z files properly, thats why I am using 7-Zip for .7z.

I've suffered from this problem .. it comes from SYS files .. Ervius kitchen can not read some sys files, because this files had been prepared for another kitchen.

Hi.... Sorry to bother, but is there already a release date known for the 5.4 kitchen? I'm using 5.3 now, but i have the feeling that 5.4 (i've tried the sense2.1 ROM) is a bit more stable.

This kitchen is perfect to create a nice clean 6.1 ROM (just disable all sense items and maybe some progs that you don't use)

I have found that after MTTY (WinXP), reinstall of Radio and ROM and hard reset I still see that my Proxy settings are saved in connections.

Has anyone had any experience changing the system font in the kitchen? I renamed ZegoeUI.ttf to tahoma.ttf and replace it in the SYS folder, and it seemed to work, but the problem I'm having is with the Enlarged Start Menu. It works, but when I click on start I don't see any of the menu items, and just a white overlay of sorts. When I tap and scroll, the start menu looks normal. If I disable the enlarged start menu, the regular start menu works fine, so I just took it out, but I'm wondering if anyone knows how to fix this, as it's nice to have the enlraged start menu on some occasions.

no, this tip should add the cab into the config.txt file to install it during the RunCC customization, it works always for me .. have you seen my attached example ?

right click and edit config_operator.txt you'll see this:

I tried both your methods suggested. The other method doesn't seem to invoke to install the cabs, it does put them in the Windows directory, and this one seems to, but I keep getting an error, check HTCLOG, and I have no idea where that is. The only cab I'm trying is the keyboard changer (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=521786)for raphael devices

On another note, I gotta say that this rom somehow brings major speed enhancements, that's what I've experienced anyways. RAM usage is about the same, but opening and scrolling things seems a lot more snappier than 5.3. Really like this one.

There are some characteristic that seems to be gone.

In previous version, only the Music and Photo tab will rotate if I turn the phone anti-clockwise. In current version, every tab will rotate in any direction (and I feel uneasy to use it when I'm lying on bed). How to revert to the previous version of rotation?

The Touchflo scrolling is weird on my pda. It keeps scrolling until i tap again.

I have been using Gen.Y roms since D2 R4.4, now as it is final I've decided to cook my own D2 R5.5 ROM with the new Gen.Y R5.5 MultiLANG Kitchen. This is my first attempt to cook a ROM and I have a few questions:

How can I test the ROM before flashing or if the kitchen says ‘Success’ than it definitely will at least boot up?
I don't want to kill my Diamond… :)

Will that work if I insert all of the needed .cabs to the ROM?
After converted to OEM packages of course.

Is it possible to use the Sense 2.5 people tab in Sense 2.1?

I run windows 7 and this kitchen works perfect here is how mine is set up try this see if it works for you

Unzip the kitchen to the root of c:\ (ie.. c:\Gen.Y-Kitchen-R5.5-MultiLANG-RELEASE )

right click Erviuskitchen.exe and select Properties\Compatibility tick the box Run this program as an Administrator

Works for me ;)

Well, yes and no. It can be changed, but the package only contains erv-files in WWE so you'll have to create these yourself is you want a different language.

Don't worry, it's perfectly safe. It's just reacting because of the way the program "acts". The antivirus program analyzes the exe and compares it to "potential" security threats. So if you know the file is safe, as in this case, you don't have to take action.

Hello all,
New to cooking and I was wondering if I could have some help!

1) How on EARTH do Roms such as the MEMO Rom use up so little memory and still be so fast?! I have only the most basic 5 tabs enabled and my memory is still 70% used on boot after a hard reset. I've also tried disabling packages but I can't find anything on the forum!

2) QuickGPS, Mp3-Trimmer, and Youtube included with kitchen will not open. I read somewhere about zlibce, concurrence_mgr and Starticonloader being the culprit or am I wrong?

3) I can't scroll through the list of usable sounds when trying to change the Notifcation alerts with the Sound & Display settings! Anyone have a solution?

4) I can't get the Settings icon back into the start menu! I am aware that it is simply a registry setting but I cannot find any packages that explicitly disable it and I have to fix it after the flash! Any ideas which package disables it?

I know it's alot of questions, but I've been testing my ROMs for a couple of weeks and these are the issues I've come across.

Hi, I have flashed my device with one of your pre-cooked ROM and it is very good, everything is working, no issues, no problems (well, I would like to remove some apps, but I can always use the kitchen, right?)

However, I have one question - I found out that the standard font is a bit smaller and I am not sure what to change. I have tried to change standard font size in registry (the same place as in case of menu fonts), but it already contains the value 900 which I guess is correct and should be "big enough". So I think it is not related to font size or it is related to it but somehow indirectly... DPI?

It may have been done intentionally by ROM author. So my question is - do you happen to know what is the reason? See the screenshot: there is a gray background around the tab control, smaller font in tab titles, I hope you see it. Also combo boxes are smaller in height than edit fields, in several applications.

Reload the files from the stock kitchen. You have probably excluded some packages or deleted some files (or overwritten something) that were needed for Sense calendar tab to work properly.

Did you use MTTY to clear your device before flashing stock build ?
Did you cook those mods into your ROM as this seems to work best and as for pim-backup i use it all the time in my heavily modded ROM and it has never caused me a propblem ;)

To add applications to your ROM you first need to convert your cab files into ext packages try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=525302
and remember this kitchen uses ext not oem packages :)

I used this kitchen to make myself a rom from "Gen.Y D2 R5.5 B21056 WWE.erv"

I can't get QuickGPS to work? It downloads to 100% but then says: "Connection failed, please try again later"

But it never works. I would really like to get this fixed, since I use Gps alot.
