Hi Community.

I got a used MDA 2 from a buddy of mine.

This might sound to be a typical problem at first, but I have got the special case that:

1. ActiveSync sees the device and can synchronize
2. Bootloader shows USB, when MDA is in cradle

3. WizardServiceTool cannot find the device at all

In addition to this problem, which completely hinders me from flashing the device as it seems. I have the special case, that I cannot seem to find out my IPL/SPL-numbers. When I boot the phone there are the following three lines displayed in the lower right corner:

R 1.18.00
G 1337.38
D 2.20.07CHS

Which is seemingly from top to bottom the Radio-Version, the Protocol-Version and and the ROM-Version.

Could any of you guys help me to
- find a way to let my device be recognized by WST
- find out my IPL/SPL
- finally flash a new rom on my buddy

Thanks a lot in advance.

Edith has some additional news:

The phone has WM2003 second version 4.21.1088
I reinstalled ActiveSync many times, had numerous hard and softresets etc.

WizardServiceTool is a tool for htc Wizard's

the only thing it could do to an himalaya device would be to brick it
so count yourself lucky they protect other devices tools from doing that
