- Screen goes black (not stand-by mode) rather often. Have to push on/off botton 3-4 times for device to start up again
- Can not use call botton (bottom left corner of device) to dial call from contract list, have to use big middle botton

Thanks for the feedback :D I'll see what i can do, i had the lite version for all the morning and the battery drain was like ever, so i think that in the full it's so fast because there are lots of things.

As said before, my ROM is based on Wing Linux. If the Wing Linux developers will port the new Android to Elf, i'll build a ROM with it.

Manually setting the GPRS settings doesn't work as well.

Well, this renders my device now completely useless. I'll try now the lite version of your ROM - but it's a shame as it looks really neat.
I like the buttons in the bottom task bar and a really slim top-taskbar. Man, what a pitty.

not much luck with the light version either. Calling (in and out) worked fine now, however i couldn't get any data connection. There was also no option to automatically configure the network settings from the SIM - manually entering the GPRS connection info didn't work as well.

Maybe I could help with the info that at least phone calls where possible with the lite verson. Need to flash now back to another ROM :o(

Another thing: In STart -> Settings -> Connections there should be an icon for the USB settings to disable "fast usb connection". I need this as there is no ActiveSync connection via USB possible.

And where can i get the .tsk file for this nice UI? Does this also include the repositioning of the buttons to the bottom taskbar?

-in manila's message tab when you tap the "new" message option nothing happen
-the htc album is horrible! please update it to v3!!
-input selection app doesn't work

VanillaLike version doesn't have automatic network configuration, as it's from HTC, not from MS

Could you reupload Vanilla Like, Lite & Android versions, please? All them have a "Invalid Model ID" after 2-3% of update, and Full version hangs up on my Elf :(

Mmm, do you connect via Wifi? If no, try it.
However, as far as i know, SPB Mobile Shell doesn't work well on WM6.5.x

The only way i found to remove the hidden numbers in incoming calls was to use the default dialer, so i removed Phone Canvas. However, now, the dialer has a nice skin so it's not so bad to not have Phone Canvas.

The SD card is needed and you should have about 300mb of free space because Android needs to create its own filesystem in a virtual drive.

I had about 700 MB free on the SD so no issue with free space. Guess I'll just have to wait a little more to be able to at least hear when I receive a call on an Elf Android ROM, as I am no developer, so I would expect at least basic phone functions from this OS.

Sure...it's almost done, deciding to copy some of the OE manila stuff in it as well so the "left over" files don't keep their big file size, instead be copied over with the same image, just a fraction of the size....loads quicker. Just add me to your credit list, kinda nice to see a name in a couple of places.

I did some preliminary testing.....you save 2mb of RAM over the stock M2D theme.

Also, got some new tricks, so expect an even lighter Comm Manager. I'll call it V2

The M2D one is outdated so changes after v1.2 are not applied.
I suggest to use the one without M2D (i'll upload it again when i'll be at home), however i'll release an updated version with M2D when the HD2 theme by Paul Days will be ready :D

It's a strange problem the one that makes the phone restart automatically, i don't know what can cause it, i've never had it in my ROM.

1) Adjusted time setting to my local time (mine is Bangkok, Hanoi) and in HH:mm:ss a small clock at top right corner is corrsepondence with my local time. (my local time now) and the big one is still showing 10:51.
2) On "Settings\System\Admin. Tools" doesn't work (have no idea what is that for?). It shown "\Windows\Administrative Tools" does not exists.

I've kept the folder because, if you install games later, the folder already has the Game icon. If it's not so, you'll see the normal folder icon.

You should edit the FLASH\ferom.htcrtproj file setting ELF0***** as model id

Yes it's for HTC Elf(in) and it worked on mine.

It takes some time, in half an hour it should be ready (on Elfin in 10 minutes it's working, i don't know in Elf)

To flash another ROM over this one, you must do it from the bootloader. Simply softreset the device while holding the camera button, a tri-color screen should appear.
Other than the 300MB storage space this Android ROM needs, what other requirements does it have? Will it run on an ELF with it's puny 64MB RAM? :rolleyes: If yes, I wouldn't mind helping test it.. :D

Edit: Decided to soft reset and try one more time...

Edit 2: Ok, on soft reset I noticed it gives an error very quickly about not being able to extract a file because it already exists. I'm going to flash WM again, clear off my memory card and try again. I have about 600MB free (1GB MicroSD), but perhaps it doesn't like some of the files on there at the moment. I'll post back later with the results.

Edit 3: Well, even with a clear memory card, it won't load. Still can't see what files it can't extract, but I'm still getting the same as before... The battery for me was pretty good compared with some other WM6.5.x ROMs, of course is not the better one :D
What widgets do you mean? Are you using the Full ROM? If so, they worked in my Elfin, i don't know what could cause that problem...

Is this rom not support Wifi? My Wireless Lan selection in comm manager is disable , can't do any selection on it......
