muniz, another thanks for your support and time (and yes, a more practical token via paypal).

Just so other's know, the biggest difficulty for me was getting Odin running and detecting the phone.

I don't run Windoze so had to go find a machine that I could use, and getting Kies and the drivers installed such that Odin recognized the phone in d/l mode took some persistence. Between Kies and the driver download package from the Samsung developer site I was able to get it going.

I first tried getting it going with JOdin on my Linux machine (my primary, running Ubuntu 14.04) but I wasn't able to get it to see the phone, after a couple hours effort. This is what led me to digging up an old Win 7 machine to use.

THAT done though, no problems after.

Thanks for this tutorial. It worked perfectly on my AT&T S5 G900A and didn't even trip Knox.

Worked great for me as well. Took 5 minutes to do, even installed safestrap.
HTC One M8 running stock(current)
SGS III running Quantum by pwncakes (old and sold)
