Default Need help with messaging after odin

So I rooted my s5 then after having some issues decided to go back to complete stock. The problem im having is that before I rooted I was able to do a quick responce to a text without having to open the messaging app and now after root and odin back to stock I have to open the app. Any help would be great full.

Just rooting alone, and not doing any modifications or running rooted apps messed up your phone, right?
