The Motorola Droid 2 is the successor to the Motorola Droid which was released in October of 2009. The Droid 2, released 10 months later, has a revised physical slide-out QWERTY keyboard, with raised keys not found in the original Droid. The Motorola Droid 2 is powered by a Texas Instruments OMAP CPU clocked at 1.0 GHz. There is a limited edition version which features R2-D2 on the phone. The Droid 2 is offered on Verizon's wireless network.
