Trouble unlocking bootloader Verizon HTC Droid DNA

Hello everyone,

I have never had this much trouble unlocking a phone as much as this one. It seems impossible. I have a Verizon HTC Droid DNA with the following:
Android 4.4.2
HTC Sense version 5.5
Software number 4.09.605.5
HTC SDK API level 5.69


I have tried the following:
HTCDev: SuperCID blocked
Weaksauce 2: Does work! I am rooted now
rumrunner: "Waiting for device. rom or root issue"
firewater: Won't work because I think it tries to connect to defunct servers.

SunShine ran through tests and said it would work, but I would like to avoid the $25 fee.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you had used the SEARCH FUNCTION, Sunshine is the only way.
BTW:
How can you afford the phone and its charges?

I have, but was curious if anyone found a new way. Phone was free and I'm not using it for my cell phone. Pretty easy to afford free

Yeah man sunshine is the only way to free this one, but 25 bucks is a small price...as it is now "future proof"

Sadly, sunshine is the one & only.....
Sunshine can make your DNA unlock, S-off & permanent rooting (with special installSU) .

Am wondering if there is any new free tool who would do the job! We are in 2019
