the battery works, you just have to charge it using a universal charger like this then put it on the phone then it will work again.

I don't think it is going to work with this battery, is not as easy like the Droid Razr / Atrix HD battery, this battery uses very small connector like the ones we connect th lcd or digitizer...

i've done it before, or you can put it on a working droid ultra and it will gain charge again. you CANT charge a battery if the device its bricked.
