The coverage map on the Virgin Mobile site includes 4G LTE and 4G (WiMAX). The WiMAX coverage doesn't look like a blanket like the LTE coverage, but my city and surrounding towns show really good WiMAX coverage. I'm going to call CS and see what they say.
If I do manage to get it to work, I'd love a dedicated toggle in the notification bar instead of having to go into the settings. I'm sure other would appreciate it as well. Think one could be added?
Also, the APN settings still do not work. Reset to default still does nothing. I've asked about it before. Did you ever get a chance to look into it?
