[ROM] Paranoid android for OPPO 7a (X9006) and other OPPO 7

Hi

I hope to meet other Paranoid Android (PA) users in this tread.
I have used PA on other phones and I love it, now I have a oppo 7a and i will try to install PA.

My first try did not go so well, don't understand why.....? PA don't boot

I have rooted the phone
I have installed Openrecovery TWRP 2.7.1.0 on phone (from Recovery_Installer.exe)

Downloaded and stored on internal SD card:
pa_find7-4.6-BETA5-20141021
+
pa_gapps-stock-4.4.4-20141025-signed


How i did it:

1. I booted to uses openrecovery TWPR
2. I took a backup (nice to have if you need to restore as I did) with TWPR
3. Factory reset
4. Installed BETA5 zip
5. Install gapps.zip
6. reboot

When reboot screen only shows the OPPO logo, and stops, nothing more happens the next 15 minutes.

Anybody who can give me a hint?

And don't flash stock gapps.

Use mini, micro or nano gapps

I'm afraid I can't recommend the current PA for my Find 7.

Flashing micro GApps generates no problems, but

I tried two full wipes with PA 4.6b6.
systemui crashed repeatedly.

Battery life was poor.

Many com.android.process libraries kept crashing.

I can't use the screen during calls. I can't hang up calls, so I have to wait for other party to hang up. Then I have to long press home to return to lock screen.

I'm trying beta 4, less crashes: so far only one mention of systemui crash in 36+ hours (after installing 31 apps in one queue).

Screen still unusable during calls.

Battery life still poor.

Still one of the best ROMs in my opinion. I'm sad I'm not getting the right PA experience... [emoji22]
