Just remember this key function to factory reset.. hold right arrow and back button for about 10 to 15 seconds which brings up a factory reset

DaveKaz,
Does it appear a screen prompt before you proceed with the factory reset?

yes after 10 seconds or so of holding back button with right arrow(that is right side outside circle) light will turn yellow and then you will be asked if you want to factory reset or cancel

Can someone enlighten me on how to perform a xbmc backup and then restore it on another fire tv?

I have the backup its in a form of a folder.. 201409022009 inside this folder I have 2 folders.. addons & userdata and a file called xbmcbackup.val

The files are on my PC, how do I get them back on this new firetv I am trying to set xbmc up.. I loaded XBMC again and the XBMC backup app, however if I choose the path under the restore option it simply doesn't let me choose the folder.
