[Q] Gennxt Rom Issue

I fixed wifi toggle issue by flashing 2.0 kernel. It can be downloaded from android original development section of grand 2. It is created by @##watchout##. I just completed it. Will update more on it later.

I had the same issue after installing this ROM

Struggled so hard as i could not get the stock roms to install from ODIN with Signature error

Finally extracted the boot/recovery and system.img.ext from the stock rom and converted to ODIN Flashable TAR Files
Then i could boot with the Stock ROM BNG4 and this made the phone to go on stock recovery

Then tried flasing from ODIN again and it worked !!!

flash the v2.0 in v2.1 wifi is not working

1. Flash gennxt rom.
2. Data reset
3. Addon installation
4. Data reset
5. Now flash kernel 2.0 from cwm recovery.
6. Boot your device now.

If you are following all these steps, you must be able to toggle wifi switch.
Kernel version above 2.0 has wifi toggle issue.
My grand 2 is working just fine though i would like to go back to stock if there will be some fullproof solution to that.

Here is link to get the kernel....download the 2.0 version or read the thread if the wifi issue is fixed in the latest version, you can download that too.

After downloading it, follow the steps below:

# put the kernel into your sd card
# switch to recovery mode
# select install from zip option
# select to install from sd card where you placed the file.
# install it by selecting the kernel zip
Wait till it gets completed.

To go back to stock, either download the firmware from sammobile and flash it using odin or you can also use kies to initialize the firmware to stock.

Please let me know if need further help.

Hey try installing deds kernel for grand2

I tried to do the clean install but it always fails. The process gets started and the the download mode gives error.

I don't have any other option yet. Anybody please release a patch or something to fix the strange issues as this rom is really great. I love it.

Download it from xda in grand 2 section/ kerenls
