Re: [ROM][4.2.1]Xpert v2.1.1 | AOKP Sony XPERIA Z

Hope the V3.0 comes today or morrow...I'm gonna take the plunge to Xpert. It becomes difficult to flash and all on the workdays...

@WEM97
first of all, i really apreciate your work! you've made a pretty impressive rom, however the Xperia Home launcher seems a bit laggy though...
maybe you can fix that for v3.0 :fingers-crossed: Thanks!

Sounds good. V3 will most likely not be here today. Tomorrow afternoon is more likely.

I an going to try and release 3.0 when it is good and ready. I am working the bra via engine I am trying to port and audio stuff. This update is going to be huge.

Second never ask me for an eta. Its ready when its ready.

Love the ROM, I think it's pretty sharp. Saddly, I found because it's running on AOKP JB-MR1 Build 3, I found it had all the issuse I was experiencing with the original ROM.

Also, I just wanted to point out, if you're going to give an ETA, don't chastise people for asking for an ETA. You're better off not giving us one in the first place, but we should at least have the courtesy not to nag you as well.

Keep up the good work!

The rPort Project is a collection of ROM ports for every major skinned version of Android (e.g. MotoBlur, Touchwiz, Sony UX, etc.). These ROMs are fully stable all through development and are ready for everyday use as new features are being ported. An rPort is different than a traditional port for the fact that we slowly introduce features into the ROM as they become operational. Thus keeping the ROM's ready for everyday activity.
Xpert ROM is the XPERIA rPort.

Starting from FX v2.2.0.2 IR samples are no longer in WAV extension its now IRS (so that music player will not recognize it) if you found WAV IR samples from the internet you can rename the extension to IRS to use in V4A Convolver.

    For ViPER4Android FX Usage
Extract all .IRS to <storage>/ViPER4Android/Kernel/<paste files here>
*If you do not see the Kernel folder, create it. Make sure its inside /ViPER4Android/

We spend large amount of our free time developing these rPort’s. We can't spend as much time on XDA due to this, so if you need assistance, please try the following:

    1) Search. They have a search function for a reason. There are many pages in our thread and an answer may be in there if you do a little digging.

    2) Try working out your issue yourself before posting it. You may be able to fix it and gain some knowledge along the way.

    3) Ask a question on the thread. Someone (not always a team member) will most likely come to your aid. Assuming that your question isn’t ridiculous or downright dumb.

    Donate to the rPort Project

Thanks to all our users out there who have provided their patience and support for the rPort project! When you donate remember, every penny you send to us goes right back into the rom. It's used for hardware, server costs, etc - all the things that help us make Carbon better with every release. Your support means the world to us!

Please Do Not Port or Copy My Work Without Permission. Thanks.

    Whats Next?
Hello again guys! v3.1.0 will be coming soon as soon as I work out final bugs. This version is special. Why you may ask? Well it brings the long awaited for Bravia Engine 3 to the ROM. Thats right, you read that correctly. I have ported Bravia Engine 3 to the Galaxy Nexus. Text looks Crisper and Colors look much more real. This will be integrated into the ROM and I may post a seperate package for those of you who only want Bravia Engine 3. I hope you enjoy it!

Second, I have put a lot of work into this and I feel like its time to announce this. If you really like this ROM and want to do more to help than just dropping a thanks, I am now accepting donations. Anyone who donates to us will be featured on the contributors area of the thread. Anyone who donates more than 5 USD will get that and will receive the experimental builds before thy are released to the thread. I really need the money to get through college. Thanks! You guys have been a great user base and most of you have been very patient. Thanks a bunch guys!

Third, I will now be posting "Whats Next This Week?" every week as a normal post in the thread. This will not affect the "Whats Next?" in the main thread. Cheers!

I have a decent amount of extra time on my hands for the next couple of days so I am going to be doing a lot of bug fixing and adding more Sony Apps and features of all sorts. Don't expect it to be v4.0 though. v4.0 is waiting because I have a couple hugely special things in mind for that update. Cheers!

Just a little update for you guys. I have updated the thread with some new graphics and more along with newer and more various screenshots will be on the way shortly. As for v4.0 I believe I may have isolated the black boot cause and I should be able to fix it. I'm still working closely with my beta testers and Esteway to bring you the best experience possible. I apologize for the delay.

After pulling an all nighter to finish developing... It is complete. V3 is ready for release. You can expect it today.
