Did you change any of your apn settings? You may need to do so to send mms on T-Mobile. Check the prepaid thread in the general forum, I believe the correct settings are there.

Switching between WIFI and 3G
Think more users have problems with it based on some of the comments.

When leaving my house or other places that have WIFI the phone doesn't always reconnect back to the 3G network. Quickest option is to reboot the phone and all works again.
Also the preferred network type can't change to GSM auto (PRL) always switches back to WCDMA preferred

Why so many issues all of a sudden? Especially if this is supposed to be a milestone. Even the nightleys have been very dependable to date.

I've been seeing the same issue and I'm not finding anything in the logs besides its failing to even try to connect. Its an annoying problem but I found that if you manually turn wifi off before you get out of range, it'll reconnect (most of the time).

Same issues here with stock kernel...frozen screen, battery pull and reconnect to 3g from wlan. Changed to the Trinity 4a and all works fine.

Hey guys,

I've been updating and flashing frequently, but am just wondering what the best options are for backing up my apps, settings and sd data before flashing milestone 5.

I usually use backup pro or something similar but always forget if it restores everything :P
What are your pre-updating rituals?

Thanks guys

never have any problems with M5. just an occassional 3G drop, but oh well that cuz of 4.0.4 i think, and the latest Google update didnt quite fix it for me. But its not very common just like before the update though.

Ok. Thanks for the tip. I searched it out more thoroughly since I haven't been able to dedicate any real time to a search. Here are the correct APN settings for MMS to work properly on T-Mobile. You actually have to delete a line at the end.

Name: T-Mobile US
APN: epc.tmobile.com
Proxy: <Not set>
Port: <Not set>
Username: <Not set>
Password: <Not set>
Server: <Not set>
MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
MMS Proxy: <Not set>
MMS Port: <Not set>
MCC: 310
MNC: 260
Authentication Type: <Not set>
APN Type: <Not set> This was set at "default, supl, mms" delete this text and back out of settings and mms sends perfectly and immediately.

Thanks again for the tip, and I actually tried messing with the APN a couple times, and I was even changing the right line, but all I took off was the "mms". Anyhow, Finally have a fully functional Galaxy Nexus on T-Mobile running the best rom (imo) available for this device.

Hope this info helps out some of us new T-Mobile using-Galaxy Nexus owners.

Oh, and one more thing the pictures are crystal clear.
