Default [ROM] [4.4.4 KK] [UNOFFICIAL] [EXT4/F2FS] LiquidSmooth v3.2 maguro/toro/toroplus

If you're like me, you get a little jittery when you don't flash a new nightly often enough. To fill in the gaps between official LiquidSmooth releases, I will be building from source from time to time and I have received permission from the Liquid devs to share my builds. I have not made any changes (any changes will be noted in parentheses), so you should normally be able to dirty flash back and forth between official and unofficial builds.

As of 7/15/14, builds are unified. Flash on all EXT4 or all F2FS without the need for conversion. This is thanks in part to the inclusion of Fancy kernel (currently r51).

As always make a nandroid just in case.

maguro:

7/15: http://www.mediafire.com/download/8j...aguro-odex.zip (unified, odexed)

Old EXT4 versions:

toro:

7/15: http://www.mediafire.com/download/rz...-toro-odex.zip (unified, odexed)

Old EXT4 versions:

toroplus:

7/15: http://www.mediafire.com/download/yn...oplus-odex.zip (unified, odexed)

Old EXT4 versions:

I was holding off because I saw some activity to the source by rk, so I thought he was gearing up for a round of official releases. Now it's looking like he was focusing on fixing the mms bugs on toro. I'm sure I'll build for the 3 gnexes in the next day or two.

My builds will be ext4. However, I created a Windows tool yesterday to convert gnex ROMs to F2FS: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=121 . It uses the kernel from the 6/14 F2FS LiquidSmooth build that rkpeterson made. When I get some confirmation that it's working like it should, I'll add a link to the tool in the OP.

Yup! thanks for the prompt response.

And yes, I saw your tool yesterday, even tried to convert a rom (LS 6/18, successfuly) but didn't flash it...

Dezfull told me that you need proper commits (vold) in order to fully support F2FS. That's the reason why I didn't flash it, but I'm going to try today!

I've been using converted ROMs on my F2FS Nexus 7 for a while without issue. I know what you're talking about with the proper commits, but I still don't have a firm understand of what you actually gain from those commits. I've seen some people making connections between the vold commits and automatic trimming on F2FS, but that's it.
