Can we use the F2FS file system on our GNex instead of EXT4?

Tip us?

For real...

First of all, it needs to be built into the kernel, not ROM, so bsmitty is probably the best one to do it.

Second, cm will never do this. They are to busy breaking Toro's apn's

But seriously, cm is great as a base. But we need awesome devs like bsmitty and aosp and others to do the actual crazy hacking development that nobody would even dream of.

It needs to be incorporated into the kernel , ROM , and recovery , I've done the first 2 , working on the 3rd .
Its pretty straightforward tbh

Using this on my Nexus 5 currently, don't know if it makes a difference or not. But here you go anyway @bsmitty83

Need a tester? I'm willing to take a risk - have a backup phone if something goes horribly wrong.

@bsmitty83
I was speaking to a friend of mine who is a Google engineer and when I told him about this project he mentioned that f2fs presented some weird bugs to the Google Drive team. Apparently there is a bug with non-standard ASCII characters in filenames or something like that. I googled a bit, but couldn't find any info on it.
Just thought I'd throw it out here to let you know.
Thanks
