ROM: Slim Kat, mainly because I love the dark theme(The Real Dark Slim mode) that helps battery life and has some must have functions\shortcuts;
Kernel: Fancy Kernel, it's responsive and gives good battery life.

I'm using LiquidSmooth Rom, nightly from 17 september with stock kernel: finally after two years going from stock rom to cyano, paranoid, aokp, omni and many many more maybe i've found the definitive rom, with everything i need!
