Default [Q] couple questions

ok so i have a verizon galaxy nexus i'm having trouble with barnacle hotspot, just sits there trying to disable wifi, which is already disabled.
what are the best options for rooted hotspot apps?
can i run v6 supercharger?

edit: i;ve tried 'wifi tether' and 'open garden' now. open garden seems to work, but my laptop doesn't find the network

Why are you using a WiFi tether app ? Does the built in WiFi ap not work ?

I was under the impression that the built in app would be the verizon version and i would have to pay for it

I've been with Verizon for long time , I used to tether all the time , no extra charges. I think it became illegal to charge for WiFi hotspot .
I would check into it because you should be OK
