Default Google Now "No network connection"

So, I know there are a million threads about the "no network connection" error in google now, but I have yet to find any way of fixing it.

I am on the latest cyanogenmod 4.4.4. but I did have these problems for the last several installs.

I have tried the following:

Wipe data and re-install
Uninstall update for google search and wipe app data
turn on two step account verification in google (pain in the a$$)
Went back to stock kernel
Tried different kernels.
Went on google and de-authorized all accounts and re-authorized
Put on a tinfoil hat and stood on one foot

The long and long of it is: When I get it working, it works for a few hours, or minutes, and then start giving the no connection error.

Please, no one tell me to check my connection.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on. This is making me want to buy an Iphone or turn my webos hockey puck back on.

So, I wiped everything and installed the latest PA gapps for 4.4.4. Everything worked for a day and has now quit. NO CONNECTION Google now.

Am I the only person having this issue?
