When/where did they say that??

Well, I've been told a different story by Google wallet specialist and seen some other posts that led me to believe there's a fix. I've chosen to believe that.

there MIGHT be a fix. some of the reps are claiming that they will supposedly send out a update or allow a master reset from there end. The problem is that this is effecting a phone (galaxy nexus) which they are not supposed to support. This means that this could in fact be a fix that wont help us in the slightest.....

Unless I missed some random step along the way and broke my nfc chip, I have to think this is related to the prepaid business being down at the moment
the prepaid is shut down, yes. the problem lies in the fact of if you have already once been issued a prepaid card, if you go and remove the card or reset the wallet app then you will be screwed like the rest of us. YES, you can tibu the data and app of wallet and then restore it upon a new rom flashing however if you go to use it after that restore then it may not work at all though looking fine on the phones end. In my personal experience with my first gnex I did that very thing and it will look fine on the phone end, you will go to use it and it wont process the transaction. You reboot the phone and it will remove the card claiming that the your card was removed from your phone by your bank. contact money network for further instructions. it is at this point you are royally screwed and need a new device.
