i have a question that is probably going to be a bit noobish....

I'm guessing (based on what I know from reading over the months) that the source code isn't tied to a particular phone, but a factory image is.

How do you take a source code release and compile it to work on any phone? Is it possible because (on this phone) Samsung already developed the kernel and Verizon already gave us radios? I'm not looking for a step by step development, but im trying to get a broader understanding how the updates work on the two different phones.

I understand leaks and I'm running the stock 4.0.4 IMM30B, but i imagine the new code has quite a few improvements.

Thanks!

There's no change log. You'll have to compare the files yourself using something like beyondcompare if you want to know which things have been updated. From my quick comparison, it looks like quite a bit .

The radio/baseband pictured in the original post appear to be the 4.03 LTE/CDMA combo and not the 4.04 radios. For anyone interested, here is a link to all the available radios for GN CDMA:

http://rootzwiki.com/topic/12864-rad...diosbasebands/

I assume that you can install this ROM as directed and then flash the radio you want/need on top of it in CWR. Hope this clears all the radio questions. I'm going to try this now and will report.

Thanks to the original poster to feed our hunger for new roms

This works great so far. I'm running it with the following radio (radio link above)

4.0.4 (IMM30B) radio package (from unofficial 4.0.4 OTA rom update)
CDMA Radio Version - FA02
LTE Radio Version- FA02

Also, your apps are there. In the old version, when you clicked my apps, everything installed and purchased were on one page. It seems like in this version, they have their own page. Just scroll to right or left and they are there.
