My old Tab 2 and my Galaxy S5 Mini both have one button you can press that will list all running apps. This allows me to do 2 things:

1. Switch quickly between apps I'm currently using.
2. Easily close all running apps with one press of a button

How do I do the same on my Note 10.1 2014?

The help screen says to swipe from the right of the screen, but this merely opens a menu of seemingly randomly-selected apps, not the apps that are currently open. Also this menu appears to offer no way of closing all running apps.

How do I add apps to the menu that appears when I swipe from the right of the screen? The 'Edit' option only lists a small subset of all the apps I have installed.

Multi window option needs to be added by an app developer in order to appear for use, and many do not add that feature. However, a great workaround for most apps is found in the PlayStore. It's called MW-Pen app enabler, and it works great. I have used it for quite a while and highly recommend it.

The problem with MW-Pen is the store does not recognize updates for those applications modified by MD and modified apps require you delete the original application. I no longer use it.

If your tablet is rooted, you can install xposed framework and a plugin called MW apps manager.

Edit: Here is the link to the plugin http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2304498
