There are many sources on the internet that claims that UAG does not have hole for the microphone near the lower right corner of the phone, and that you must drill the phone yourself in order for it to work.

Is that true?

Used to be true when it was first released. They fixed it a long time ago.

So if I buy a UAG case from Amazon, I won't have to drill the case?

That was true on early Note 3 UAG Cases but UAG fixed them. I ordered one off the UAG website about 3 months ago and mine has the hole for the Sensor. It should be fine now.

my early note 3 was missing a sensor hole, not a mic.

either way, they sent me TWO cases to replace my messed up one, let me choose the colors, and let me keep the messed up one.

so I wouldn't worry either way.

I have the case, and the hole isn't missing.

But I often removed the cover and one day the small fillet of the bezel at the volume button broke.
I had the luck that it was repaired for free (I said it broke when i pulled it out of my pocket).

So I'm currently looking for another cover...
