Yes you can try or do that. But 1st make sure to clear about warranty. I donít know if this void warranty, ask others. If this does and if you donít have any worry about warranty then you can go for anything, custom rom too. Make sure if you lose warranty due to tempering software then you will lose warranty on hardware as well.

As this is a expensive phone so its better to be on safer side, I think. You can take it to your nearest service center, the will do whatever it need.
