Apps I purchased through the Samsung store, most notably Autodesk's Sketchbook Pro "optimized for the Note" won't update unless the new agreement with Samsung is accepted. This requires accepting KNOX. Meanwhile, purchasing the same app on Google's Play store, provides updates without that same requirement.

I'm not really into the details on what KNOX entails, but afaik it means if a user roots or installs a custom rom, device warranty is broken. Correct?

Meanwhile Samsung is going to offer Nokia's HERE app through its store. So far details on the HERE app are scarce and it will be released when the new Tizen watch from Samsung is available. The unclarity is whether the HERE will be available for all or only for the Tizen watch buyers.

Regardless, my question is, is KNOX enough of a detriment to avoid Samsung's app store? For the time being, I'm running the original ROM, and Android 4.1.2.
