Is there no way to get the normal camera back? and do all askp roms have this striped down version as well?

Lastly thank you West for all your hard work, but for now I'm going back to 1.1 which works perfect for me.

Why?AOKP is bad?cause now I am on 1.1,planning upgrade to 1.4 today.

AOKP is not bad

but the current stock camera app lacks the ability of change where you store your pictures (sd_card or external_sd) and defaults to the internal memory of the phone (sd_card) which is annoying.

Maybe you should wait for 1.5 if you are too concerned about battery life, with a 2000Mah extended bat I was squeezing about 2 days and a few hours of use with 1.1 and right now I'm just getting 1 day and 2 or 3 hours.

Internal storage. Why is the screen so small when I'm filming in full HD?

Yes, but you can find a small flashable fix in the FAQs that GaboWinter maintains.
