If the installer didn't get deleted (or hidden) everybody would share apk files with their friends :P Dont know why you ask this but I can't think of a (legal) reason haha

As far as i know, you can't get that installer file.

nothing illegal intended, just wondering if it will get deleted. if it gets deleted then good cause i just don't want the installers eating my memory that does nothing, especially i have just downloaded a lot of games from the market.

thanks!

The "installer" that downloads from the market is the APK file, no more, no less. It will be found in the /data/app folder on your phone.

i have just checked my data/app folder, and yup some of them are in there but some are not.

if the data/app folder consists of the installer files is it safe to delete whats inside the data/app folder now the i have installed the game?

thanks!

Why illegal...? Maybe he need the apk file to make a backup of his favorite programs without using any other backup programs(titanium,ecc)... and also to have them in offline mode without internet connection. To answer to the user that ask the question, yes it is possible to save the apk, but to be in legal u have to use the files only for u so without sharing them, try to use root uninstaller the free version, the program save in automatic all the apk files u download from the market
