NO SOUND FROM Speakers/earphone/mic

Hi
i ran the code *#0*# to get into the test menu, after clicking on SPEAKER i couldn't get any sound, which means that there is some hardware problem. can anyone suggest what should i do to fix it on my own?

Thanks in advance

I'm running CM11 on my GT-I9100 4.4.4(stable) and only code which works for is IMEI. Phone doesn't respond to any other codes, I didn't tried all of them but most from the top of the list.
I just got a phone cover which apparently some how covers my proximity sensor(I can see it clearly it's not covered) so without working codes I can't test my sensor. Any suggestions? I can't revert back to 4.1.2 because that ROM got ruined by custom kernel.

Just recently purchased my S II (the first smart phone I've ever owned), I was curious as to where you input these codes? Sorry if my question has set android users back a generation or two.

    At least 3 generations ;)

Open the dialer and input them there.
