Hi all, I purchased a battery from eBay for my S2.

I shut the phone down, swapped the original, now-plump battery and inserted the new one, reboot and now I get a yellow warning triangle (attached pic).

Before stripping its sticker away to see how original it is or not, I would like to ask if anyone has seen this and if it is easy to fix.

I've read about warning triangles with thermometers, which is NOT my case. My yellow triangle has the battery crossed out, and when I go into the phone's OS, I get a very loud beep and a "Battery disconnected" popup and every indication that the battery isn't charging.

My phone is using NeatROM with the stock kernel that comes with the installer.

Everything works fine with the old, original battery: usb charges, wall charger charges, no "disconnected battery" pop up, so definitely, the new battery is the problem, but is this normal when swapping batteries?

Any ideas?

Thanks!

It looks issue with new battery. See if you can get it replaced.
Just to be sure, try another rom and see if it is the case there also. If yes, you will have your answer.

Well, I guess this battery is fake as fake can get. I switched to RootBox and the same exact thing happens.

Thanks for your suggestion, Vishal. I'll see if I can get a replacement.
