New member here, and was wondering if anyone knew of any kit kat roms for the s2 which allow for dock audio out. I know of a few older ones but wanted to upgrade to kit kat, but dock audio is a highly used feature for me.

Thanks

I'm pretty sure the only ROMs that include this feature are the "hybrid" ROMs..... that is to say the Samsung based customized ROMs.....
As the S2 never officially received a KitKat update, none of these hybrid ROMs will be KitKat based........

Thanks for the reply, thats what I thought. Hopefully will get around this by using a bluetooth to 3.5mm adaptor instead and then will be able to run a kit kat rom

I wouldn't be too sure of this, since I have read a guide on how to make a micro USB cable here on xda that was both charging and audio out. There was a statement that said that USB audio out was introduced in Android since ics. So there is a chance it will work on every rom, regardless of its base.

Oh...really?......
Having never used it, I was unaware of that.....
I was under the impression that the dock features were part of the Samsung "proprietary" software and therefore "closed source" and inaccessible to the custom devs......

I'm pretty sure its only on stock roms, or thats all that has worked for me, All previous custom roms I used did not work and when I wanted to use dock audio I went back to stock and it worked fine. Now I have a bluetooth reciever with to 3.5 jack so I can use custom roms now and still put it in the dock with no ugly cables on the top!
