First thing you do when a phone is immersed in liquid is remove the battery & put it in a bag of rice for a week (or a few days minimum, no using it at all during this period). Using it immediately after more often than not results in damage that can only be repaired by replacing components where it's been fully immersed in the liquid, and even then they sometimes can't be repaired.
Take it to a service centre or local mobile repair shop after you've riced it if it's still having issues.
If it's important enough to cause you grief if it's lost, back it up. No excuses
