Can somebody tell me the power consumption of proximity sensor?

I think of made a tasker profile for my newsreader app using the proximity sensor to switch the display to invert mode to save battery, but I don't know if I save power if the proximity sensor is on all the time?

Somebody can enlight me?

On the Galaxy S5 it uses 0.8mA so it would take 2800/0.8=3500 hours to discharge the battery.
Thats 145 days.
