And from my point of view....I personally would be loathed to part with something that I'd invested time, effort and money into to bring back to life.....I know at the end of the day it's just a piece of tech and an asset, but for me, if I'd done what you've done....it'd be (I dunno) more personal than that......
My wife says I'm a phone geek....She's probably right
Haha, I know exactly what you're saying mate, but if I wasn't spending time messing about with this I'd probably be messing about with my N5 so it's no real loss in terms of time or effort. We have a fair selection of Android devices in the house already (see my sig) so I don't think my gf would allow to have another one anyway!
I've actually managed to sell it on eBay and will break even on the phone and parts so I'm happy not to be out of pocket and that it will be going to a new home
I am going to keep the spare Rev 2.4 board though, as I have a feeling the other S2 will soon suffer the same fate, and looks like the Note 2 is going to need it done in the not too distant future too as my gf noticed it sometimes doesn't charge or properly connect to the PC. At least it's an easy job! I still have nightmares about trying to disassemble the Desire HD!
