Default [Q] Whatsapp Stuck at "Initializing"

Running Helly_bean_i9100 latest build.

I installed whatsapp but it has been stuck at initializing forever. I have tried deleting it and installing a previous version, but it does not work too. I really need help!

Thank you in advance!

I got HTC One X and just flashed a couple of custom ROMs and found the same thing. I few other guys also experiencing it. We think it must be a whatsapp thing and are hoping it will resolve itself in time!

if this problem persists and u need whatsapp do as following:

1- install whatsapp version 2.8 and enter ur cell number..of course it will fail to initialize
2- don't delete whatsapp just replace it with the newer version
this will give u access to chats but you'll have no contacts so they have to talk to you first
it's a half solution but better than nothing

P.S: 2.8 is available on any file sharing websites just google it

Have you tried clearing cache for the app?
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S IV i9505
ROM: P.A.C. 4.3, with Nova Launcher
Kernel: CyanogenMod 10.2
Android = Awesomeness!

Download whatsapp pk from http://www.whatsapp.com/android/
Keep whatsapp preinstalled from playstore. Now install the apk and replace the application. And here you go, whatsapp is working for you.
