It's just an executable that extracts the files automatically into a .tar ball. It was done with 7zip.

I tried but it wouldn't let me upload for some reason. Ill try again later if I get a chance.

Edit: I just tried again and mediafire won't let me upload since the file is too big.

Try Galaxy S Unlock by Helroz in rhe market. It is a free anp and takes less than 2 mins.
That's how I unlocked mine to use on Rogers.

Noob help
OK, I'm new to this stuff so please be patient.

I got a great deal on a Bell Galaxy s2...$280 and in perfect shape. I am leery of rooting the phone so I unlocked it via an ebay code seller ($19.95). Using it on 711-speakout (Rogers network).

Now I want to get a better firmware on it....I can't believe Bell hasn't updated it at all!!! I figured I get some practice before an official ICS update is released.

So the most stable firmware is 2.3.5 or 2.3.6?

It seems from what I have read that I can use Odin to update the firmare without rooting it. I see the instructions on the Original post on page 1 for doing this.

Can someone give me a direct link to the best/most current/most stable firmware to use?

I'd prefer the frankenstein non-wipe version but all the multiupload links are down...so does anyone have a direct download to a Ki3 or better recommended frankenstein version?

Thanks in advance!
