With Sammy new JB roms, It is no longer possible to load any module using insmod ( I do this using cifsmanager not init.d). The only way to get cifs is to install a cifs supported kernel like DorimanX ot Speedmod (after installing these kernels, the modules folder in automatically created with many *.ko files.. I also tried copying these ko files and using them for insmod loading. Didn't work either..
Anyone here successfully loaded cifs modules on XWLSD based rom and Siyah kernel?
Try to search the location of cifs.ko. I think its located at /lib/modules. If its there use this command
Edit: to check the loaded module uze this Command
Edit2: you cannot simply copy modules from any other builds because it checks it ver magic against the loaded kernel.
