[QUOTE=rootSU;36624688]Not so sure on these.

CPW (Carphone warehouse) Only give out unbranded handsets. Would expect them to be BTU.

Carphone warehouse usually CPW CSC but not always .

Initial release 4-6-12 CPW unbranded unlocked SGS3 was I9300 OXAALEF .

SGS2 was a CPW CSC also .

As far as I am aware, UK should only have (Taken from Sammobile.com)
btu
evr
h3g
ora
tmu
vod
o2u

However, Vir makes sense too.

O2I is Ireleand (see below) not United Kingdom.

Again, according to sammobile, Ireland should have:

met
o2i
vdi
3ie

OP, UK users, Ireland users
Would you mind validating this for me please?

Makes sense that O2I is Ireland and O2U is UK. Changed this.

The reason CPW is in the list is the fact that it exists. I can't just delete it and ignore the fact that it exists.

EVR: A company called EE; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EE_(tel...tions_company)

I think you'd better go with BTU then.

I have an I9300 with CSC firmware labelled I9300JVDLJ2, and I haven't been able it find any mention of this anywhere. The phone CSC can be set to places in and near Africa, like Kenya, South Africa, Egypt, UAE and so on. Does anyone have any information about where the JVD might come from? And (excuse me) whether there is something I should know about before I try flashing a stock ROM from another region?

CSC as posted is for local area network connections . If you change your CSC you may have no auto network setup .
