Make sure you have a custom recovery (like CWM or TWRP). Put the file on the sd card. Flash the file. If you run into any problems, wipe your device and reboot. If you a tutorial how to use and or flash a custom recovery please Google it.

There is a way to do that, I've never done it before but my first guess is that it isn't that hard to do.
