A kind question, m8: Did you finally come up with reason why you may disagree with zram compression for our device. I have been running cm11 without zram and it seems to work fine. I have almost 37 apps installed.

Indeed, my finding are:

1) If you run minimal apps and/or close programs down after using them or use an autokilling app, so long as you set you LMK values so it does not kill off too much back stuff too quickly then it is possible to live without zRam and therefore enjoy a slight improvement in performance

2) After hearing sammy only use one zRam device rather than the one per core idea (i.e. 4 devices), I tested the one device at 300mb and to be fair it works better than having 75mb x 4.

Overall, once device configured between 200-350mb seems to work pretty well with no real detriment. When I was suggesting that everyone should use 4 devices, it was after reading some linux spec which suggests its the right way to do stuff, in reality I think one device works better on this device and clear samsung thought so also.

Hope that helps
