Default [Q] linaro gcc toolchain

hey guys, just trying to fiture out a little problem,,, i downloaded 4.9 linaro and used this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...chain-t1988315 to set it up, but its still trying to build kernel with gcc 4.4.x,, is there a way i can force it to compile with linaro??

So rom is compiling with linaro, but kernel not?

I am not quite sure how it works, but there are 2 places when toolchain may be stated: in kernel's defconfig and in Makefile. You can change both of them to your desired one and then try to compile.

Or (it should work too) before writing 'make' in terminal, write 'export CROSS_COMPILE=~/YOURtoolchainLOCATION'
