No, they did not. The HTC One X (main competitor of S3 from HTC) and the following One X+ both 'died' at 4.2.2.

I wonder apart from the ugly battery icon, there is no valuable features on kitkat to stay fighting over it....
I just hope that Samsung improve the 4.3 for our phones since the battery is horrible!!!!
Honestly I used the 4.4.2 from s4 and there is nothing so good to be this mad with Sammy!!!
I think we should all be anxious to the new android L, so that when it is released the devs will build it for us!!!
It's not like Samsung will add it's new version of Crapwizz to it!!!!
My dream is to get out of Brazil, and go to USA
I will do it, trusting in the power of dreams

  1. Update to latest API
  2. Updated kernel source
  3. ART

Seriously, go use AOSP 4.3, then try AOSP 4.4. You'll feel the difference.

HTC Kaiser . CM6 ......... OC@530mHz - Kitchen Watch with NTP .
HTC Leo .... CMX OC@1.19gHz, Jellybean
HTC Ace .... CMX OC@1.5gHz, ICS + Sense 4.0

Does that means that ART will be better than the one available on 4.4 roms??

Yes, I'll have to know more about APIs ...
But from a feature point of view there won't be having anything good for the casual user.....
Even more considering we have cm11 and other AOSP Roms (even though I don't know the bugs, since I couldn't find a changelog)
We got 2gb of ram so I think jb is already smooth for us!!! (Compared to my old phone.......)

I use stock with nova and some icon pack. Didn't complain about the update yet. Well they recently updated the app store, so I think they are continues to support the device.
