Default CM 10.2

Hey guys i'm just a beginner in roms and cyanogenmod , I have a samsung galaxy SIII with android 4.0.4 and i want to install the new cyanogenmod 10.2 which is based on android 4.3 <<

my question is
1) do i have to update my android version 4.0.4 to 4.3 using software update then install cyanogenmod 10.2 ..
2) OR just flashing cyanogenmod 10.2 will replace the 4.0.4 with jelly bean 4.3 software ???

I know it's an easy question for you .. thanks

You need only to flash ROM and Google apps (if you want them.)

First flash recovery ☺.

-you must install an advanced CWM recovery either, Philz, TWRP via odin, there are tutorials on that.
-when you have it, you should leave the CM zip and gapps this in the internal or external sd.
-when you have them, you must get into recovery mode by pressing power button, volume up and home button.
-in recovery, you must do wipe data factory reset., wipe cache, and dalvik cache (you find it in this advanced)
-wipes once done, you go denes install from sdcard, you want the zip file of the rom and gapps, whether you left in the internal or external sd. and install first the rom, then gapps.
-once installed, back again, and give it to reboot sistem now.

Now enjoy your new rom
