Hello everybody,

Today I flashed the 'GlamourS5 for S3' from the android development forum here on XDA.
When it rebooted after the flash was succesful, the samsung logo appeared (as usual) but after that the screen just went black.
It's been like that the whole time now and thus I have researched a little and appreantly it could be because the kernel is missing.

Now here comes the tricky part.
Last month I removed my power button from the motherboard because my phone (Galaxy S3 - I9300) kept restarting and I was not able to use it anymore.
Since then I have locked my screen using gestures and went into recovery by using 3rd party apps.
Is there perhaps a solution to this problem?
Thanks in advance

You can try and use adb to boot into recovery or download mode from your pc

Hello thanks for your reply!

I have no (succesful) experience with using adb so I google'd it and found this: [I can't post a link here yet appearantly, it should be the first link when you google 'galaxy s3 adb recovery' from theandroidsouldotcom]
Sadly enough it didn't work, it said 'error: device not found' in the command prompt.
When I connect my phone (while it's supposedly turned on), my PC makes the 'USB-device connected' sound but I cant see it under my computer.
