Default Very Frequent Crashes/Lockups

Hey everyone,

I have a SGS3 and some major issues with it crashing every 5-10 minutes. It gets unresponsive and the screen goes black. Usually the little led keeps flashing if I have unread messages. I also have severe battery usage and the phone goes empty in 3-4 hours during moderate use while I'm in school and checking it inbetween classes.
It's rooted with Cyanogen 10.1.3-RC2-i9300.
Other info from the phone info page:
Android version 4.22
Baseband I9300XXELKB
Kernel-Version
3.0.64-CM-ge8aa6a7
build02@cyanogenmod #1
Wed Sep 4 2013
Build-Number
cm_i9300-userdebug 4.2.2 JDQ39E
eng.jenkins.20130904.202338 test-keys

Should I revert back to Stock rom? I'ts been a while since I flashed the phone. If I don't have a backup of my old rom, just the user folders (I believe I need a nandroid backup?) what do I do?

Factory reset and flash the latest stock firmware for your country. Test before you add or restore anything.
