Default GT-I9300 boot loop

Hi guys,

So here is the issue a friend asked me to fix her phone an S3 GT-I9300 being a geek i thought i would give it a shot but unlike PC's and Laptops phones are not my forte, here is what i have done so far

The phone wouldn't boot in to download mode it just freezes on the boot screen.
i got a USB Jig to get it in to download mode.
Using firmware from sams mobile I tried to reload it (sorry probably the wrong vernacular) in odin but i get this error

<ID:0/010> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/010> FAIL!

I looked in to the error on Google and the solution seemed to be re-partitioning with a pit file, i have tried using these pit files
GT-I9300_mx_20120220.pit
GT-I9300_mx_20120329.pit
mx.pit
but i get this error

<ID:0/011> Odin v.3 engine (ID:11)..
<ID:0/011> File analysis..
<ID:0/011> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/011> Initialzation..
<ID:0/011> Set PIT file..
<ID:0/011> DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET!!
<ID:0/011> FAIL!
<ID:0/011>
<ID:0/011> Re-Partition operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)

I have tried
The original cable for the S3 the cable I have used to root my S4
running odin 3.09 3.07 in admin mode
i have also tried different USB ports

I have read that at this point if the phone wont respond it needs a motherboard replacement, i am hoping that i have just gone wrong some where, does anyone have any ideas?

thanks for reading

Try flashing a firmware and pit at the same time, the rescue firmware in general forum is the best one to try.

If that fails then your emmc chip is toast, new motherboard required.
