i recently acquired my sisters old s3 which has a dead nand chip, due to SDS.

i'm just gunna buy a new logic board but i was wondering if theres anything to look out for, fakes, cheaper places than ebays 75-80, board variants that kind of thing, seeing as i know very little of this phone i need you guys help, compared to the iphone 5 and note 2 this phones got alot of good reputation.

Look for a good seller reputation, where they have lots of previous buyers of motherboards which actually work.

Otherwise you are taking pot luck on blocked imei, wiped efs, damaged emmc chip, blown charging circuits etc.

I've seen posts asking about motherboards where the advert is just the bare board, no fitted IC's or components, also where the emmc was blank and no imei -both being totally useless.
