My wife's I9300 was working fine & suddenly developed these problems
  • The phone is not connecting to the network, have tried different SIM's but none of them work. The SIM is working in other phone.
  • IMEI/MEID = null/NULL
  • Baseband = unknown
  • Power button is not responding, I can only switch on the phone using the button it does not respond after that
  • Can't enter command mode using *#197328640# or *#*#197328640#*#*
  • *#0011# is not showing any options

The service center is saying that the mothetboard needs to be replaced & are quoting equivalent of $120/-

Can I do something or the only option is to replace the Motherboard

Cheers

Sounds like you need a new motherboard, or phone.
