You've already been told the i9300 does not have knox.

Please read the first post again Quote " can I flash custom 4.3 roms" so he would have root he never said anything about OTA..My advice would still be the same to anybody flashing custom roms BACK UP YOUR EFS

I want to get an s3. I had a note 2 before, so if I was on 4.1.2 and wanted to flash a custom 4.3 rom, I had to flash new bootloader of stock 4.3, in order for wifi to work, which had knox.
Would suggest if the s3 came out of box 4.1.2 that I can safely flash a 4.3 custom rom without needing a bootloader ? Or should I just update to latest then flash what ever I want

Try reading instead of asking the same question over and over, start with all the sticky threads in general forum.

Flashing a custom recovery will, however set the warranty bit to 1.

Stumbled upon this topic.
Like i was also told earlier: "I9300 does not and will not have knox in any firmware." - That's great.

But what did you mean with warranty bit to 1 ?
What is it?
Can't see any warranty bit text on my phone when in download mode.

I was thinking to install [i93xx][CWM Advanced Edition] PhilZ Touch -recovery to my I9300.
Will that affect some warranty bit system?
Can i get rid of it (how) if i need to unroot and put all back to 100% stock?

Thanks. (soz for being a beginner)
