I have exchanged my htc one x with galaxy s3 only to find that this device also heats up the same as one x
the only difference i found in both device was a slight 1/2 hr sot gain
while playing HD games the battery temp goes upto >45 c (i have tried almost all possible kernel and rom combos)
i have also tried underclocking and undervolting
i have heard that 50 c while gaming is normal for many users but i fear for my battery and organic display(not sure heat effects amoled or not)
and the same games on my cousin's nexus 4 keep battery temp always <40 c (but the battery consumption is same)
i am not concerned about battery consumption but about the heat.
every one has this much of heat or my phone is faulty?

fyi- for normal stuff and normal games temp< 42 c

I think it's "normal" while gaming. I9300 has a powerful SOC and while gaming the SOC heat up. There's nothing you can do about that, sadly. I know the heat is not good for the battery but there no solution.
