Dude, I dont have any idea about 4.4 but .... there is an application on Play Store called Fast Burst Camera and this application can take pictures at super speeds ... be it Stock or AOSP....

Check it out ... https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...urstcameralite

Unless there is an issue in the camera software by the company there isnt any way or improving raw picture quality. There are many camera apps on the playstore which provide multiple filters and capturing modes. There are also photo editions that can improve the pictures taken by changing tones/contrast etc. The one by Aviary is decent. Just head on over to the Play Store and give them a look. Im referring to free ones ofc. If your willing to spend a few bucks then i would recommend Perfectly Clear. It comes with an inbuilt camera in the new version and is simply legendary for improving any picture with the click of a button. Works like an easy to use Photoshop. Do give it look
